Our offered benefits include:

  • Healthcare coverage options

  • Long-Term and Short-Term Disability coverage
  • Paid Time Off and Vacation Leave
  • Holiday Pay

The work our employees are contracted to do is not without risk. We want our employees to feel appreciated and rewarded for the acts of service they complete no matter their post or position.

Why are benefits important?

Benefits can make or break an employee’s experience working with a company. Benefits are just one way a company can reward or show appreciation for their employees, by supplying opportunities to improve their quality of life outside of work. Our hope is that by easing the stress or burden of healthcare costs and planning for the future, our officers will be able to focus on their job assignments.  Keeping our employees happy, healthy, and productive is our priority.

Healthcare Coverage

According to Career Builder, 87% of applicants list medical benefits as their most desired company benefit aside from rate of pay. Financial stress due to healthcare costs can impact both an employee’s home and work life. Productivity at work tends to decline when an employee is preoccupied with the stress and uncertainty of how they will pay for medical care. BOS Security is committed to providing our employees with healthcare coverage options that reduce an employee’s financial stress and improve productivity at work.

Medical benefits for our employees are covered under the Cigna network. Employees can access both local and national care through Cigna to receive the care best suited to their needs. Through Essential StaffCare, we offer both a Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) insurance plan and a Fixed Indemnity medical insurance Plan. So, what’s the difference?

Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC)

Minimum Essential Coverage covers preventative and wellness services for all adults, women, and children mandated by the Affordable Care Act. Employees and their families can access wellness and preventative care without being charged a copayment by a doctor or other provider within their plan’s network.

Our employees can choose to add dependents to their MEC plan, including their spouse or children. This plan is self-funded and the monthly cost is paid directly to the insurance company.

Fixed Indemnity Plan

The Fixed Indemnity Medical plan through Essential StaffCare is designed to cover the majority of an employee’s day-to-day medical expenses. Individuals can enroll themselves and any dependents in this plan for a weekly rate deducted from their payroll pre-tax.

Key features of this plan include:

  • No copayments
  • No deductibles or waiting periods on Medical
  • No pre-existing condition limitations
  • Rx, dental, and vision benefit options available
  • Term life & short-term and long-term disability coverage options available

Unlike the MEC plan, this plan covers medical care outside of preventative and wellness services, which may be better suited to your needs. The Plan Benefits cover:

  • Doctor’s Office Visits
  • Urgent Care
  • Emergency Room
  • In and Outpatient Hospital Care
  • Labs
  • Surgery
  • Prescription Drugs
  • Virtual Primary Care

Essential StaffCare has implemented Virtual Primary Care (VPC), a new healthcare delivery model that allows temporary employees to take part in telemedicine visits with the same local, virtual primary care physician or even specialists. VPC provides individuals with a higher level of consistent medical care because physicians and specialists will have access to an employee’s existing health records.

PlushCare offers same day appointments and a variety of other features uncommon in traditional primary care. Features of VPC include zero wait time, nationwide primary care providers, 24/7 care team chat, and an online therapy program and other mental health services.

BOS Security offers our employees healthcare coverage options so that they can choose an option that best suits their needs and their family’s needs. Should an employee not need healthcare coverage through their employer, BOS Security may contribute a comparable amount to their retirement plan.

Cellular Service

At BOS Security, our employees can enroll in a cellular service plan provided by T-Mobile or AT&T. On the T-Mobile cellular network, an employee has access to unlimited voice, text, data, and hotspot for only $2 a week. Similarly, employees have access to the same services on the ATT cellular network for $3 a week. Employees can choose to add up to three additional lines to their plan for $3-4/week. The monthly cost will be deducted from the employee’s payroll. All the employee must do is provide a compatible cellular device where they can either port their pre-existing phone number or accept a new number. Eligibility for this benefit begins after two payroll periods.

Retirement Plans

BOS Security offers a range of retirement plans for employees to choose to enroll in through Empower Retirement.Employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan to save and invest before-tax dollars through voluntary salary contribution. Eligibility begins after completing six months of service with BOS Security. While BOS Security does not match 401(k) investments, if an employee chooses not to accept company-sponsored healthcare insurance, the company may contribute a comparable amount to their retirement plan.

Life Insurance Benefits

BOS Security provides Life Insurance benefits for its employees. This includes Accidental Death and Dismemberment plans. Both full-time and part-time employees can select policies for up to $10,000 and there are plans available for dependents as well.

Long-Term and Short-Term Disability

Active full-time employees who work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for long-term disability benefits. BOS Security sponsors disability income protection insurance through Reliance Standard. Additionally, short-term disability benefits are available in case of a covered injury or sickness. The benefit amount is equal to about 60% of the employee’s monthly earnings.

Paid Time Off and Vacation Leave

With BOS Security, employees begin to earn Paid Time Off (PTO) after 90 days. Full-time employees who work 30 hours a week or more begin to accrue weekly PTO to total 40 hours a year. Vacation and PTO are ways of rewarding employees for their hard work with well-deserved down-time. We hope that when our employees use their PTO that they return to work recharged and ready to continue their job responsibilities with enthusiasm.

Holiday Pay

Our federal contract employees receive holiday pay for 11 holidays per year, following the federal holiday calendar. When full-time employees reach 180 days of service, they will receive holiday pay for 8 designated holidays.

Uniform Program

BOS Security supplies full uniforms for both armed and unarmed security personnel free of charge. We take your sizing information and issue employees with a uniform and badge that represents our clients’ expectations of a reliable level of experience, training, and professionalism. Each armed security officer is issued a Kevlar vest for added protection in the field.

Referral Bonuses

BOS Security offers a Referral Bonus program that encourages our officers to recommend their family, friends, neighbors, or anyone they think would be a good fit as a security officer to apply for a position with us. All the applicants must do is enter the existing employees name in the space where it asks how you heard about BOS Security. After the new officer has worked 80 hours, BOS will pay the employee who referred them $100.00.

It is the employee’s responsibility to notify us to receive their bonus.

BOS Security values our employees and we offer comprehensive benefits that reflect our appreciation.
