Command Center Locations 

Deep Sentinel houses their Surveillance Center within their headquarters in Pleasanton, California. The security camera monitoring company also reports that they have “exclusive satellite offices located overseas for overflow and overnight surveillance.” 

VirtuGuard™ is headquartered in Athens, Georgia. All Security Operations are handled from our Athens Command Center, and we will never forward overflow or overnight surveillance overseas. Each VirtuGuard™ Agent is based in the United States and each Agent is a native English speaker. Equipment & Hardware 

Deep Sentinel typically requires that clients install their Deep Sentinel Security Camera Systems at an additional cost. Their guard monitoring services are also compatible with a few third-party Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) cameras, including Univision. The technology that can be monitored by Deep Sentinel is limited and requires clients to purchase and install new surveillance equipment to implement remote video monitoring services.

Law Enforcement Liaison 

The BOS Security team consists of many retired law enforcement officers. Our retired law enforcement liason with local law enforcement to ensure effective responses to your property when VirtuGuard™ calls. By building and establishing these relationships and explaining that VirtuGuard™ Agents call when active criminal activity is detected on your property, police response times improve. Our Agents can also stay connected to dispatchers while a criminal activity is transpiring, relaying real-time information on the movements of perpetrators, as well as potential threats to officers, giving police added safety as they respond. 

Additionally, our team of retired law enforcement officers conduct daily reviews of calls from the night before. They use these recordings as training opportunities to improve our Agents’ responses to future calls. 

Agent Training 

Each VirtuGuard™ Agent is trained firsthand and in-person by security technology experts when they begin their new position. Agents and Command Center Managers work from physical Command Centers, giving new and existing employees opportunities to learn directly from experienced staff and ask relevant questions as they occur. 

Training for each VirtuGuard™ Agent is extensive and continuous. The IT team is constantly making improvements to artificial intelligence, response procedures, reporting, and more to ensure clients are receiving the best service possible. These improvements are conveyed to Agents as they occur so that each Agent is up-to-date and prepared to complete their job responsibilities to the best of their ability.  

In addition to receiving training on how to utilize security technology and video management systems, VirtuGuard™ Agents also take courses on report writing and best communication practices. Communicating details to law enforcement and clients is crucial to crime prevention and protecting client properties. Agent training is always evolving as the video monitoring industry evolves. 

Contract Length 

Deep Sentinel has a minimum one-year contract for their video monitoring services. After one year, clients can then renew on a month-to-month or yearly basis. If a client has concerns that their Live Guarding services are not meeting their security needs, there is little incentive for improvements to services to be made. If a client wishes to end their service agreement due to dissatisfaction with the service, budget constraints, or other concerns, they may have no choice but to remain in the contract or face costly legal expenses.
