Security Guard Accountability

BOS Security utilizes electronic security guard monitoring systems which allow both the supervisors and the client access to an online portal to track guards during their tours. This system uses a combination of GPS tracking and static RFID tags to monitor the security guards’ activities. These handheld units allow the guard the ability to dial pre-set numbers to contact a supervisor or the client with questions, as well as a panic button. Units that sit motionless for five minutes will send an alert to the Supervisor for investigation. This accountability measure assures our clients that security guards are performing patrols as specified.

Our History: Decades of Protection and Service

BOS Security was established in 1993 when owner Nathan Carmack recognized the growing need for a reputable, dependable security firm in Atlanta, GA. In 1993, with the Olympic Games coming to Atlanta in a few years, Nathan Carmack started providing security services under the BOS Temporaries, Inc. business. Nathan had been in law enforcement in a previous career, so this was a logical offering. Their focus at the time was strictly using off-duty law enforcement officers. As the security business grew, it was split off as a separate corporation, BOS Security, Inc., in 2005. This was when the firm began to expand into the federal contracting market and other states. 

The company that would become BOS Staffing was founded In 1979 by Nathan Carmack Sr. as Business Office Services, the first staffing company in Athens, GA. In those days, the firm focused on temporary office support – bookkeepers, receptionists, etc., on a strictly temporary basis. The firm grew and expanded into light industrial placements, so he incorporated the company as BOS Temporaries, Inc. in 1992 since the name Business OFFICE Services didn’t make sense anymore. In the early 2000s, as the company was doing more temp-to-hire placements, “Temporaries” in the name didn’t make sense anymore, so the company started doing business as BOS Staffing.

BOS Staffing has provided medical placements for many years. As this part of the business grew, BOS Medical Staffing, Inc. split off to form a third corporation. BOS Medical focuses on nurses RN, LPN, and CNA primarily in per diem placements. Focus industries are assisted living, corrections, and behavioral health across the Southeastern U.S., including GA, AL, SC, FL, and LA.
