Sirix Monitoring was founded in 2016 to offer services exclusively to security partners as a third-party provider. After evolving from DCI Consultants, an IT consulting service created in 2003, Sirix now offers remote video monitoring, remote access control, cloud video analytics, and other security monitoring services. 

BOS Security was founded over thirty years ago, specializing in providing physical security guard services across Georgia and the United States. Combining this expertise with a team of experts in security operations, law enforcement, analytics, and IT, BOS Security introduced VirtuGuard™ remote video monitoring. 

Command Center Locations 

Sirix Monitoring has headquarters in Quebec, Canada and will be opening a new office in Florida, USA. Sirix Monitoring only provides services to partners and clients in the United States and Canada. 

The VirtuGuard™ Command Center is located in Athens, Georgia and currently serves clients across the United States and Canada. VirtuGuard™ also has the technological capabilities to monitor other international properties. 

Equipment and Hardware 

Sirix Monitoring is compatible with a wide variety of surveillance camera manufacturers, including Avigilon, AXIS, and Bosch. Their Security Operations Center also integrates with several access control, alarms, audio system, automation systems, and incident management providers. 

VirtuGuard™ can integrate with almost any camera manufacturer and Video Management System. We are compatible with several vendors in each specialty to cater to each client and their existing security equipment. If a client does not have existing equipment or wishes to expand their current system, VirtuGuard™ assists in selecting the right equipment and connecting clients to third party integrators. 

Law Enforcement Liaison 

With over thirty years of experience in providing physical security services and security assessments, BOS Security builds off this expertise to shape VirtuGuard™ remote guarding. Our management team consists of several retired law enforcement officers who provide valuable experience in building and maintaining ongoing relationships with local law enforcement agencies. When an incident cannot be resolved with Voice Commands, VirtuGuard™ will report ongoing incidents to local law enforcement. 

When establishing and maintaining these relationships, VirtuGuard™ explains that Agents only call when active criminal activity is detected on a client’s property, improving police response times. Our Agents can stay connected to dispatchers while criminal activity is transpiring, relaying real-time information on the movements of perpetrators, as well as potential threats to officers, giving police added safety as they respond.   

Our team’s experience with law enforcement influences our quality control. Retired law enforcement officers conduct daily reviews of calls from the night before. They use these recordings as training opportunities to improve our Agents’ responses to future calls. 

Agent Training 

When a new VirtuGuard™ Agent is hired, they complete extensive initial training to become familiar with each VMS and protocols for various incident scenarios. Agents will also undergo required continuous training to constantly improve their response times and outcomes. 

Additionally, our team’s experience with physical guarding and law enforcement shapes the training of our Agents. We offer courses in report writing and train our Agents how to communicate effectively with onsite Security Officers and law enforcement. 

VirtuGuard™ creates a designated line for each client. Anytime a call comes into the Command Center from that location, Agents know exactly where it’s coming from, further decreasing response times. 

VirtuGuard™ Agents have fewer assigned sites, allowing them to conduct proactive virtual patrols in between triggered alarms. Agents have more time to designate each client and each incident that is detected, allowing them to respond quickly to prevent or resolve criminal activity. 

Partner Programs 

Sirix Monitoring exclusively operates as a third-party provider for channel partners. Rather than providing services directly to clients themselves, Sirix provides services for their partners’ clients. 

The VirtuGuard™ Channel Partner program is two-fold. Some partners may choose to enter a Recurring Monthly Revenue (RMR) agreement where they recommend VirtuGuard™ to clients and receive a monthly kickback for each client who signs a month-to-month contract for remote monitoring or other services. On the other hand,  VirtuGuard™ services can be white labeled for partners to provide our services to clients while BOS Security remains a silent partner. 

Contract Length 

Sirix Monitoring requires customers to enter into a 2-3 year contract. Early termination fees will be applied if a customer wishes to end their contract early. 

Meanwhile, VirtuGuard™ operates on a month-to-month contract with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Our remote video monitoring services evolve with your business’s changing security needs. Our Command Centers can easily integrate added surveillance cameras and technology and can adjust monitoring costs as activity rises or decreases.  

If you are not 100% satisfied with our services, you are not locked in a binding contract. Our team works closely with clients to ensure that every security concern is addressed and reduce crime or unwanted events.
