TSA Gold+
In May 2026, the TSA announced its new TSA Gold+ program. The Gold+ program is a new public-private partnership that enables aviation security innovation by combining the SPP with the TSA’s innovation authorities.
TSA Gold+ is separate from the original Screening Partnership Program. The new partnership program allows airports that opt-in to the program to tailor their screening services and leverage cutting-edge technology without lengthy federal budget cycles.
Under TSA Gold+, partner companies and airports are still held to federal security standards.
