BOS Security Integrates Vaccine Mandates into Business Operations

BOS Security Integrates Vaccine Mandates into Business Operations

BOS Security will be mandating all of our employees to receive a currently available COVID-19 vaccine. This announcement should come as no surprise to anyone familiar with our commitment to safety and security. One of our goals is ensuring no harm or damage comes to the customers, employees, buildings, and other physical property our security officers protect. The last thing we want to do is take any chance of spreading COVID-19 to those who trust us to protect them.

Keeping People Safe and Healthy

Because they are part of our team, it’s important to us that our security officers and internal staff remain healthy. Our security officers work in many different environments, often interacting with dozens or hundreds of individuals at some of our locations. Officers who work in hospital settings may even encounter people who are immunocompromised.

Why is the COVID-19 Vaccine Important?

The virus primarily spreads where people are in close contact in enclosed and poorly ventilated spaces. That’s why the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has issued guidance stating that employers are allowed to mandate COVID-19 vaccinations for in-person employees. Vaccination is an important step in protecting our employees and everyone they come in contact with. All vaccines have been authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are found to be safe and effective.

How Can I Help Keep Others Safe?

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) show mounting evidence suggests that fully vaccinated people are less likely to become infected by the virus. While the vaccines don’t guarantee 100% protection from the virus, they substantially lessen the chance of becoming symptomatic or transmitting the virus to others. Employees working at locations with COVID-19 prevention protocols such as masking, social distancing and plexiglass shields should continue following these guidelines.
