THE OPPORTUNITY:
A leading developer/owner/operator of retail shopping malls throughout the US and Puerto Rico was seeking to control skyrocketing security costs at a 120,000 square foot multilevel complex in an urban setting without sacrificing safety of shoppers and tenant stores.
TECHNICAL SITUATION:
This opportunity was a new construction project from the ground up. Turnkey design-build opportunity allowed for maximum coverage, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. A multicamera and multi-speaker system was installed.
THE SOLUTION:
Best-in-class video and voice capabilities have provided a 24/7/365 security presence at the development. Mall information services, emergency management services, and parking garage operation also integrated into the project’s management plan. Two-way live video and touch screen technology was installed in kiosks, allowing for less expensive and more effective services for the development managers as well as patrons of the mall.
RESULTS:
The cost-effective security solution specifically addressed all areas and matters of concern while providing more comprehensive overall services for the development. Two-way communication kiosks provide assistance with directions, restaurant reservations, and other customer service needs.
