THE OPPORTUNITY:
Sister properties in urban area of Richmond, VA experienced difficulties managing foot traffic in and out of both buildings. Drug activity was suspected as well
TECHNICAL SITUATION:
Virtual Doorman CCTV systems were designed and installed with two-way audio capabilities. The visitor/guest check-ins were covered by a face camera, an ID drop-slot camera, and overhead camera in lobbies.
THE SOLUTION:
Each non-resident entering the building is required to provide identification as well as information about who they’re visiting. On-site guards are contacted for for violations or unauthorized entry. Reports are then provided to management showing the number of visitors per resident, frequency of visits, and other valuable information.
RESULTS:
The properties have seen a great reduction in suspected drug activity. Video footage and report records have been used to their benefit in a number of eviction cases. The overall site security greatly improved.
