THE OPPORTUNITY:
A large Northeastern city faced both escalating costs and increased crime/vandalism occurring at city-owned properties. Issues ranging from nuisance to Homeland Security threats compelled the city to establish “watch guard” services at all facilities. TECHNICAL SITUATION:
The city-owned facilities had no electronic security of any kind. This presented a turnkey design/build opportunity.
THE SOLUTION:
The municipality implemented VirtuGuard™ remote video monitoring services and interactive site patrols. The community outreach plan engaged the general public, encouraging them to report issues or problems, and raised awareness of the system. Interior and exterior alarm points were monitored, along with video verification, by the VirtuGuard™ state-of-the-art Command Center.
